Did I mention I have a time machine? No..? Or maybe I did, in your future…
So, here’s another slightly daft fact about me. I really, REALLY, love a time-travel movie.
Whether you travel by machine, by touching an old rock, by waking up after talking to Zoltar the spooky fortune-teller guy. Backwards, forwards, alternate realities, accidentally meeting your future self… I’m in..!
So perhaps it’s fitting that, since living across two beautiful cities in two different time zones (Stirling, Scotland and Copenhagen, Denmark), I’ve discovered a wee time-machine of my very own.
It’s called, working in the UK, from DK. Every morning I wake up an hour ahead of almost everyone I work with… and I LOVE IT..! Now, some might think me crazy for that admission. But I really love it. It’s fake of course. I haven’t actually gained an hour, That’s not how time-zones work. Or physics.
But the feeling of having an extra hour, is completely real.
My phone is quieter. My inbox hasn’t properly woken up. Teams isn’t pinging.
And somehow that wee hour shows up throughout the day, helping me wander into deep intellectual rabbit holes, or stare into space pondering how our beautiful planet is in the hands of a society designed for the few to prosper at the expense of peace for all things living.
Anyway… that’s a blog for another day.
Note: No rabbit hole (!) available for the photoshoot today. Daisy is enthusiastically standing in.
